The Lakento VR glasses were at the Tokyo Game Show and in the hands of the creator of Megaman

The Tokyo Game Show is over but was one of the greatest experiences we have had recently in regards to publicity and promotion of the concept that gives life to the Lakento VR glasses. I a meeting of minds, Indie developers had their moment to demonstrate their immersive 3D Virtual Reality technology.

So much so that the one and only creator of Megaman and Dead Rising, Keiji Inafune, was trying out the units that Victor Ruíz took all the way to Japan, in order to present the vision behind the Lakento VR.

Even though out Virtual Reality viewer is designed for 4 to 6,4 inch mobiles, the Lakento VR is intimately tied to 2 trends that are leading the way in the latest innovation in the video games industry: on one side Indie games and on the other the revival classic Retro formulas and franchises.

An example of one of these revivals is Mighty Freddie, a homage to the old character created by Dinamic Software for the 8 bit microcomputers of the 80s which, however, incorporates the best aspects of popular concepts focused on titles for tactile devices.

The Tokyo Game Show was an important point on the journey started by Lakento VR in it’s eagerness to serve as link between developers, who like to converge talent with new ideas alongside respect for the time tested formulas, and the users who want to live new experiences in an immersive 3D Virtual Reality environment.

A genuine mix of past, present and future, all summed up in a unique product:  Lakento VR.
