Samsung Gear VR are now official
The Gear VR is a mounting frame that allows the user to insert a Galaxy Note 4 in its interior (it’s yet to be verified whether other models are compatible) and enjoy amazingly real VR experiences. In advance of its success Samsung has already sought a series of agreements for the Gear VR release that will guarantee the arrival of quality content for the new device.
The technical specifications for the glasses are simple, due to its 96% angle of vision and its accelerator, gyrometer, magnetic and proximity sensors. With these glasses and a mobile device, we can enjoy games, movies and many other media contents freely in complete 360º.
As you may already know, the Gear VR has been developed alongside Oculus Rift proof of which was the presence of John Carmak on the scene (one of the fathers of Doom and Quake), who has become a leading evangelist of virtual reality in the last few years.
This collaboration can be seen in the Gear VR’s design as well as the presence of an Oculus Store where it will be possible to acquire contents from key entertainment companies such as Marvel (Marvel’s Avengers Age of Ultron), IMAX (VR documentaries), DreamWorks (movies), Pacific Rim Jaeger Pilot (based on the Guillermo del Toro movie), Cirque du Soleil, etc.
It must be remembered that Oculus, in the 2.0 DPK for its glasses included, in the part that held the screen, an identical panel to that of the Galaxy Note 3, although seeing what occurred today at the Samsung UNPACKED event it’s possible we were looking at a Galaxy Note 4.
